Free School Meals

If you are receiving Income Support or Job Seeker’s Allowance your child could be eligible for a free school meal worth £2.68 per day.

Entitlement to Free School Meals also entitles families to a uniform grant  - £70 per school year is given as a credit towards uniform bought from our uniform suppliers  - Stevensons.

The cashless payment system means that the entitlement goes on to the student's account automatically each day and can be topped up with cash if required, payable by either Parent Pay or Pay Point.

Use our school online payment system to make dinner money top-ups or school trip payments quickly and easily. View your child’s balance online or receive SMS texts alerts from our parent communication system.

Free School Meal applications should be made online at

https://self.merton.gov.uk/service/Pupil_Premium_and_Free_School_Meals_application

For all of your school age children that attend a school in Merton, not just students at the Academy. If you have any questions about this system, please contact Ms Reeja Najeem, Administration Manager on 020 8623 1000 ext. 5529.

Charging & Remissions Policy

The Academy will make no charge to parents or students for any activity, inside or outside the Academy, which is relevant to the education we provide. The limits of the Academy’s budget, however, may oblige us to make charges for certain activities as prudent administration of our funds requires. It is our aim to ensure that our policy is fair to all and complies with the Academy’s main aims and objectives.

No individual student will be prevented by financial hardship from participating in an event, which is considered to be essential to his/her programme of study. The Academy will consider remission of payment for all or part of the charges providing that the parents or guardians of the students have applied for Free School Meals. Individual applications must be made for each individual event for which remission of all or a part of the charges is required.  When seeking voluntary contributions from parents or students for a particular activity, the Academy will always indicate whether the activity will be prevented from going ahead in the absence of sufficient funds.
